Join us for year three of Makam Shekhina High Holidays. Embodied, earth-based, goddess-honoring prayer services weaving Hebrew, English & Arabic chant, percussion, priestess practices and Sufi wisdom. All genders welcome. Advance registration required. We expect space to fill quickly.
Makam Shekhina is a community of Hebrew Priestesses and Sufi Dervishes gathering in counter-oppressive devotion. Makam Shekhina was founded in the summer of 2015 by Pir Ibrahim Baba, may his secret be sanctified, and Rav Kohenet Taya Mâ. 5778 Services are with Taya Mâ and members of the Kohenet and Ateshi Ashk communities, including Sheikh Issa Effendi during daytime offerings. Held at the Kohenet Castle - an indoor / outdoor sanctuary in El Cerrito, CA.
